Pregnancy Conditions and Prenatal Chiropractic Care

Supporting a Body That Is Changing Every Week
Pregnancy changes posture, balance, and the forces placed on the low back and pelvis. As those changes progress, expecting mothers may experience back pain, sciatic discomfort, SI joint pain, round ligament tension, pubic bone pain, headaches, indigestion, or difficulty finding a comfortable sleeping position.
Prenatal chiropractic care at Wellhouse focuses on comfortable movement and pelvic balance. The doctors use gentle, specific adjustments and pregnancy pillows so each visit can be adapted to the patient’s trimester and comfort.
Wellhouse prenatal doctors are certified in the Webster Technique and have experience caring for patients from preconception through postpartum recovery. Chiropractic care works alongside, rather than in place of, prenatal care from an obstetrician or midwife.

Webster Certified Care
How the Webster Technique Is Used
The Webster Technique is a prenatal chiropractic analysis and adjustment centered on alignment and mobility throughout the pelvic complex. It was developed by Dr. Larry Webster and certification is provided through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
Pelvic restrictions may add discomfort and reduce the room available for a baby to move. By addressing pelvic balance, Webster-certified care is intended to support a more comfortable environment as pregnancy progresses.
The technique does not turn a baby or replace obstetric care. Any concern about fetal position, pregnancy complications, or labor should be discussed with the patient’s obstetrician or midwife.

Prenatal Care Designed Around Comfort
Every pregnancy and trimester is different. The doctor adjusts positioning, pressure, and technique around the patient’s comfort and current prenatal needs.
Patients should continue all recommended prenatal appointments. New pain, bleeding, contractions, reduced fetal movement, or other urgent pregnancy concerns require prompt guidance from an obstetric provider.

Wellhouse has been an essential part of wellness for my family and me. They are thorough with their care, education, and adjustments. Each time you go in you are greeted by the warmest people and the appointment feels catered and informative to what you need that day. I have chronic inflammation and have been to other chiropractors before, but ever since coming to Wellhouse, I have had such an improvement on symptoms, sleep, anxiety and overall well being that I’ve never received before. My only complaints is that there aren’t more Wellhouse’s all over the twin cities so more people can experience this magic and care. Thank you Wellhouse team for being a part of my families health journey. ❤️

Very helpful, warm, welcoming office. Ideal for mothers who have busy, changing schedules and need to bring kids along to appointments.I started seeing the chiropractors at Wellhouse during pregnancy with my second child. They really listened to my concerns and I felt like everyone was rooting for me. After consistent care, I was able to have a smooth, quick labor and healthy delivery. Very much recommend!

We’ve had a great experience so far. I am 25 weeks pregnant and they do the Webster technique which has been helpful in making sure I’m feeling physically well during pregnancy. They’re also great with kids and my kiddos love the play area!
